A suicide bomber struck the Negev town’s commercial center. According to YNet News:
The bomber is believed to have taken advantage of the breached border at the Rafah crossing in order to infiltrate to Egypt and into the Negev.
Haaretz adds that a second attacker was shot by police when his bomb failed to detonate.

UPDATE Feb 4: Haaretz on the claim of responsibility:
A Fatah sources said said the “Army of Palestine” wing of faction’s al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades carried out the attack in Dimona along with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
Fatah was quoted as saying that 2008 would be a year of suicide attacks, Channel 2 Television reported.
