The Independent: Another Capital Error

The Independent falsely implies that Tel Aviv, rather than Jerusalem, is Israel's capital city.

It happens all too regularly. A throwaway reference that implies that Tel Aviv is the center of Israeli decision-making rather than its real capital Jerusalem.

The latest culprit is The Independent, reporting on the $38 billion military aid package agreed between the US and Israel:

With over two decades of experience in various non-governmental organizations in the UK and Israel, Simon Plosker returned to HonestReporting in October 2022 as Editorial Director having previously been part of the organization’s management team from 2005 to 2020.
