Perhaps the biggest media myth is that Israel and its leaders simply aren’t interested in peace. The seeds of our new video, Don’t Be Misled – Israel Wants Peace go back one year ago this month.

That’s when Time magazine blared on its cover, Why Israel Doesn’t Care About Peace. Outraged readers gave Time the grand prize: the 2010 Dishonest Reporter Award.

HonestReporting CEO Joe Hyams said:

“We wanted to make a video to help our readers respond to accusations that Israel is the reason there is no peace in the region. The truth is that Israel has made a great deal of effort over many years. We want the media to cover the issue fairly.”

Our video, resource page, and new Facebook community page will help Israel’s supporters become informed and empowered to speak up.
