Credit to The Times of London for publishing the following correction:
Tel Aviv is Israel’s financial centre and the location of most foreign embassies; it is not “the Israeli capital” as we said (Terrorists linked to Choudhary, June 28).
There was only one problem – the error had not been fixed on the original article, which still read:
A quick email from HonestReporting to The Times and voila, it’s been fixed. The text now refers to “Mike’s Place, a bar in the Israeli city” rather than “the Israeli capital.”
Not the first time that this error has occurred in the UK media but at least there is no longer any argument – Tel Aviv is most definitely not Israel’s capital.
