In April, the UK's Advertising Standards Authority raised a stink when it banned an Israeli tourism ad featuring the Western Wall. The ASA called the ad misleading because it implied that the Western Wall is part of Israel.
The Israel Government Tourism Office appealed, but the ASA upheld its original ruling:
We understood that the borders and status of the occupied territories of the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and the Golan Heights were the subject of much international dispute, and because we considered that the ad implied that those territories were part of the state of Israel, we concluded that the ad was misleading.
See HonestReporting's investigation into that point.
How much longer till the ASA adopts the Palestinian media's more radical view that Israel doesn't exist at all?
Here's the ad in question.
