Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci’s tell-it-like-is approach in defense of Israel has long rattled liberal Europeans and radical Muslims. Now, an Italian judge is ordering Fallaci to stand trial for defaming Islam in her recent book, The Force of Reason. Judge Armando Grasso rejected advice from prosecutors that Fallaci was exercising freedom of expression, saying that certain sentences were “without doubt offensive to Islam and to those who practice that religious faith.”
