An Iranian group calling itself “The Committee for the Commemoration of Martyrs of the Global Islamic Campaign” claims it has registered thousands of recruits for “martyrdom operations” against Israel, American forces in Iraq, as well as Salman Rushdie. Forms were sent to religious universities, and spokesman Mohammad Ali Samadi says the committee awaits permission from Iran’s ‘supreme leadership’ before dispatching bombers. (Hat tip: Daily Alert)
