I am writing to you, having been alerted by HonestReporting concerning several employees of Reuters who have been exposed for unethical and unprofessional behavior that clearly breach the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles and call into question their ability to report objectively on Israel.

These employees include:

• Yasser Qudih who infiltrated Israel on October 7 and was honored by Hamas. The presence of the media on October 7 was not an accident. Hamas’ plan for the invasion of southern Israel – “Jericho Wall” – detailed step-by-step what they would eventually carry out and included reporters to “broadcast the operation in real time.” Israeli journalists were murdered on October 7. The fact that these media professionals were able to operate freely indicates that they were there at the pleasure of Hamas.

• Doaa Rouqa who posted that Hamas’ actions on October 7 were “glorious” and a “great victory.” But for requiring her to delete those posts, no other action was taken by Reuters.
• Hamuda Hassan who reposted content referring to Israelis as “ZioNazis.” Those posts are still live, and no other action was taken by Reuters.

• Iraq Bureau Chief Timour Azhari who covers the Israel-Hezbollah conflict, yet demonizes Israel online.

• Suhaib Jadallah Salem, Mohammed Jadallah Salem, Fadi Shanaa and Ibraheem Abu Mustafa who all received awards from Hamas. But Reuters had no problem with this, or with the terror groups’ paraphernalia that decorated the Reuters office.

Hiring these employees unknowingly is one thing, but Reuters’ continued association with them, despite numerous complaints by HonestReporting and full knowledge of their behavior is a stain on your work and has reduced your credibility worldwide.

I respectfully ask that you take immediate action to remove these employees from reporting on Israel and to publicly state that you have done so in the interests of transparency and accountability.

I am writing to you after reading several exposés on the HonestReporting website concerning the behavior of several of your organization’s employees. Despite numerous requests by HonestReporting to hold these employees accountable, AP has failed to take any visible action.

These employees include:

• Hatem Ali and Ali Mahmud who illegally infiltrated into Israel on October 7 and captured images of Israelis kidnapped to Gaza. The presence of the media on October 7 was not an accident. Hamas’ plan for the invasion of southern Israel – “Jericho Wall” – detailed step-by-step what they would eventually carry out and included reporters to “broadcast the operation in real time.” Israeli journalists were murdered on October 7. The fact that these media professionals were able to operate freely indicates that they were there at the pleasure of Hamas.

• Adel Hana, Hatem Moussa, Fatima Shbair, and Khalil Hamra who all participated in official Hamas propaganda events, yet were and are defended by AP. Adel Hana also taught media courses for the Hamas-run Information office.
• Mohammed Zanaty, a Lebanese cameraman who posted praise for a suicide bomber and for a militant group that is allied with the internationally proscribed terrorist group Hezbollah. Yet, AP kept silent on the matter.

Hiring these employees unknowingly is one thing, but AP’s continued association with them, despite numerous complaints by HonestReporting and full knowledge of their behavior is a stain on your work and has reduced your credibility worldwide.

I respectfully ask that you take immediate action to remove these employees from reporting on Israel and to publicly state that you have done so in the interests of transparency and accountability.

Subject: Bias at  The Wall Street Journal

I am writing to you concerning the behavior of one of your employees. I was under the impression that the Wall Street Journal attempts to publish unbiased and impartial information. However, I recently read an exposé by HonestReporting on the behavior of one of your employees – Abeer Ayyoub. She has shared terrorist propaganda, whitewashed Hamas, and made her anti-Israel sentiments very clear. 

On October 7, as Israelis of all ages were being massacred – in their beds, in their parents’ arms, at a music festival – she posted “I have not seen a single soldier defending himself. Why ? I thought You said it’s the strongest army in the world.”

When Elon Musk posted about the tragedy unfolding, she responded “Eat shit.”

Yet apparently the Wall Street Journal still believes in her ability to report news on Israel accurately and impartially. Despite numerous complaints by HonestReporting, you have not taken the basic step of taking appropriate action against an employee who is clearly incapable of reporting objectively on Israel. The lack of any response from the WSJ is extremely disappointing and your continued association with her is a stain on the reputation of the WJS and has reduced your credibility worldwide.

I respectfully ask that you take immediate action to remove Ayyoub from reporting on Israel and to publicly state that you have done so in the interests of transparency and accountability.

Subject: Bias at CBS News

I am writing to you after reading an exposé on the HonestReporting website concerning the behavior of one of your organization’s employees, Marwan al-Ghoul.

At an official event of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), he spoke on behalf of his family expressing “their gratitude to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and their esteemed comrades everywhere in the Palestinian land…for their… commitment to continue the struggle.”

The PFLP is an internationally proscribed terrorist organization, and has been on the U.S. State Department’s Designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations list since 1997.

He also served as a member of the Gaza City municipality council, which is appointed by Hamas, where he met with terrorists in his official capacity.

His affiliation with a proscribed terror group, as well as his official public role in the Hamas-ruled Strip, raise alarming questions regarding CBS’s journalistic standards.

Despite numerous complaints by HonestReporting, you have not taken the basic step of taking appropriate action against an employee who is clearly incapable of reporting objectively on Israel. The lack of any response from CBS News is extremely disappointing and your continued association with al-Ghoul is a stain on the reputation of CBS News and has reduced your credibility worldwide.

I respectfully ask that you take immediate action to remove al-Ghoul from reporting on Israel and to publicly state that you have done so in the interests of transparency and accountability.
