It’s the error that happens time and time again. This time in the Daily Mail.
A reference to Tel Aviv implying that the coastal city is the Israeli capital, when in fact Jerusalem is the location of Israel’s parliament and other national institutions.

And yet again, HonestReporting has prompted a correction. We contacted The Daily Mail, which responded by removing the words “capital of Israel” before “Tel Aviv” and thanking us for bringing the matter to their attention.

The journalist in question also let us know that it was a simple oversight. While we accept this, it’s a shame that the copy editors still get caught out by this kind of error.
