Biography
Dr. Jonathan Rynhold teaches in the department of political science at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, where he is also the head of the Argov Center for Israel and the Jewish People and a researcher at the BESA Center for Strategic Studies. He has also been the Shusterman Visiting Professor of Israel Studies in the department of Political Science at George Washington University in Washington, DC. during a sabbatical year.
Dr. Rynhold received his PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has many academic publications about Israel and the peace process and U.S.-Israeli relations and has co-edited two books on recent Israeli elections. He has recently completed a book on U.S.-Israeli relations since the end of the Cold War.
Dr. Rynhold also played a leading role in combating the UK academic boycott of Israel and has worked with the Israeli Foreign Ministry and diaspora Jewish organizations in devising a strategy for combating the wider assault on Israel’s legitimacy.
