Biography
Rev. Aaron Eime serves as the deacon of Christ Church, the oldest Protestant church in the Middle East, in the Old City of Jerusalem. As the Director of the Heritage Centre at Christ Church, Aaron shares the story of the unique history and influence of the Protestant arrival into the Middle East in the 19th Century by guiding groups of visitors. He is regularly sought out by the IDF, Ministry of Tourism schools, leaders of tourist groups and local prominent figures to present the Christian story in its historical and cultural contexts.
Aaron enjoys varied relationships in the Land, including weekly Torah study with local rabbis and Bible studies via phone with local prisoners. With great joy, he umpires the annual cricket match in Ashdod between the Israeli Australians and Israeli English.
Aaron studied Psychology and Sociology at Queensland University in Australia to obtain his B.A. and later was awarded a Masters Degree in Jewish Civilization at Hebrew University in Israel. After traveling around the world, he chose to live in Jerusalem with his wife and 3 children.
