The slew of misleading terminology and inaccurate reporting relating to the status of the Temple Mount continues, this time in The Independent, which includes this paragraph in its latest article:

Of course, Jews have no intention of praying in the al-Aqsa mosque precisely because it is a mosque and not a synagogue. In addition, the al-Aqsa mosque is located on the Temple Mount and is not “known as” the Temple Mount.

That The Independent has stated that the site is Islam’s third holiest shrine while neglecting to also mention that the Temple Mount is Judaism’s holiest site is also an example of sub-standard reporting.
