An Israeli airstrike killed an Islamic Jihadnik. Hithem Ziad Ibrahim Masshal was connected to recent rocket fire on Eilat. The rockets were fired from the Egyptian Sinai, so Masshal certainly internationalizes the conflict.
So I’m having a laugh at this Sky News headline. The yellow highlighting accentuates the description of Masshal, who won’t remind anyone of, say, Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Jack Nicholson in the quintessential biker movie, Easy Rider. According to the Jerusalem Post, Masshal, a Salafist, “dealt in the manufacturing, upgrading, and trade of firearms, particularly rockets and bombs . . .”
Motorcyclist?
Was he wearing a helmet?
And that’s how Israel described Masshal?
I think not.
And I want to be remembered as Jerusalem’s top bus surfer.
