We knew a grinch would strike. And sure enough, one named Kenneth Woodward got a screed trashing Israel’s treatment of Bethlehem and the Christian community published in the Wall St. Journal.
Here’s what Woodward’s commentary doesn’t say:
• The security fence is saving Israeli lives.
• Israel is accommodating Bethlehem’s holiday tourism by easing security restrictions and scaling back security ops in the area.
• Bethlehem is having it’s best tourist season since the intifada began.
• The town’s Muslim-Christian relations ain’t so rosy.
• Har Homa was never “Christian land.”
A lump of coal for Mr. Woodward’s stocking. . . .
