AFP reports that a third undersea telecommunications cable has been damaged, disrupting Arab internet and phone service. This one was discovered on a cable linking Dubai to the UAE.
Two other cables, one in the Mediterranean off the coast of Egypt, the other off the coast of Dubai, aren’t expected to be repaired for another 10 days.
One damaged cable by itself is bad news, and two could be chalked up to coincidence. But three?
