Our latest Watchdog of the Week is Michael Mendelsohn from Boston, MA.
Michael alerted HonestReporting when he saw a map on the CNN website that presented Israel as an Arab state.
While we monitor countless media outlets around the world, we still need you, our readers, to alert us to errors or anti-Israel bias in places where one wouldn’t expect to find it.
In this case, the story concerned global sexual harassment and Israel was not mentioned at all.
Thanks to Michael’s vigilance, we publicly exposed CNN’s error resulting in the map being fixed and a correction issued to the article.
Michael comments:
I dream of the day that everyone worldwide gets along. I believe we can get there quicker if the information people are exposed to is fair and accurate. I feel it is my personal responsibility to look out for inaccuracies, inadvertent or otherwise, and call attention to fix them. Equally important, I am a New England Patriots fan.
