BBC Mistweets Tel Aviv as Israel’s Capital Under Fire
November 15, 2012 20:09 by Simon PloskerWith the Gush Dan region and Tel Aviv being targeted by Palestinian rockets, it might seem almost inconsequential under the current circumstances but we’ve caught the BBC claiming that Tel Aviv is Israel’s capital on the BBC News Twitter feed.
Even The Guardian and the UK’s Press Complaints Commission have acknowledged that Tel Aviv is not the capital of Israel. So why then is the BBC still committing this capital offense?

We know injured Israelis aren’t newsworthy, but apparently they don’t bleed at all.

An understandable error surely? After all, the BBC reports from Tel Aviv as Sderot and nearby Gaza is just too dangerous for them. They can barely find their way from one bar to another before entering the Journalists building. What a load of plonkers. To think that British tax payers must pay their hard earned income to fund this disgusting outlet for HM Home and Foreign Offices. Corruption and bias with misrepresentation go hand in hand.
