What was most instructive was how sure and fleet of foot the BBC was in removing the dialogue box from the foot of this report, thus making it impossible for comments to be communicated about the story.
I was online just at the moment Honest Reporting’s email alert came through – in fact, listening to live online coverage from Guysen TV.
I immediately went to the BBC website where the dialogue box and comments section was still active, and left an excoriating condemnation of its bias, warning that I was writing to Jeremy Bowen and the BBC Trust demanding an explanation.
Within minutes, the dialogue box had gone.
The BBC knows how to censor and censure when it is caught with its back against the wall.
What I cannot guess, however, is how many others bombarded the BBC. I recall that when that ghastly Barbara Plett turned on the water works when Arafat finally breathed his last, the messages froze the BBC’s emails.
It is one thing to have a liberal hot head on the loose – quite another deliberately, wantonly and purposefully to deprive the general public – whose licence fee, under pain of a criminal record and/or imprisonment – whose livlihoods they pay, the right of reply.
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Soviet Union…

and what amazed me more is, that the BBC’s crosspondent was waiting in his office for such incidnet to shoot, or was that really just a co-incidence ? at least when they were so close to the place, where terror attack occur… then why such first response ???

Why should anyone be surprised that BBC is now pro-Islamic terrorism? What does that mean? It means everything BBC reports is reported to favor Islamic Terrorists! Wake up! England, the home of BBC, is well known as Londistan now that radical Jihadist Islamic Terrorists have taken over the country, and they did it by immigration! This is how they’re getting a world for themselves that they, themselves, are incapable of building due to their blind rigid mindset of ignorance!

I agree that there is a predominant bias in the media against Israel.
I believe that HR does a great job in denouncing it.
Nevertheless, exaggerating and trying to find bias where there is none only accomplishes two things:
    1. You become what you are criticizing
    2. You lose your credibility
We need to use a little bit of critical thinking and beware of being caught yelling wolf!!!

After reading your message, I waited up for the BBC news on PBS (11:30 p.m. in this market). It was nothing like your comments. Tim Franks, who had witnessed much of the attack and was visibly shaken, clearly stated that the attacker was an Arab from Jerusalem, and gave pretty much the same story that I read from the Israeli media. Two possibilities: they responded to your post, or there are different factions of the BBC. Based on what I heard from Tim Franks, I cannot imagine he would have told the story any other way.

I would like to express my opinion. I think that Honestreporting.com has a mission and a goal, a very noble and worthy mission and goal. Directly to give as much munition nowadays as possible to the British lawyer who is embroiled in a legal case against the BBC trying to force them to make public the Balen-report which one suspects could well have the potential to blow the whole cover off the channel for good if it were made public. That would signifiy their death-knell and they are more afraid of that than of the devil, so to speak. In my view, it is arguable that this pressure-advocacy group overreacts from time to time (most of the cases not, however I’d emphasize!) but it has to put it in context. In the context of somehow assisting thosewho are “mortal” enemies of the broadcaster. And in my view this is not a too high price for it. It is commendable, desirable, but most of all, right. The BBC’s catalogue of sins is so long that Redcliffe Library is too small to house it. Intelligent people can easily see what’s at stake now and what is hapening in this “war” – on both fronts.

In 1939 Europe let Hitler took Checkoslovakia and Poland. They thought that this will stop him from attacking them. Everyone knows the result of this ‘smart’ and ‘honest’ step…
I see that this was not a lesson to the World. Though new Hitlers wont to ‘take’ Israel ‘only’, it’s the beginning of the second World Mistake.
Shame on BBC. Good bless America and Israel!!!

It amazes us how a reliable source of news for decades has become a trahy source of constructed lies by design!
Was BBC named in Arafat’s will?

If BBC won’t give honest, accurate reporting, ban them from Israel! who needs them? All we’d lose is an enemy!

We should all consume the BBC with moderation. It’s not a reliable source of information.

When ever anyone takes to or about the BBC put them on the defensive. The first line should be “The world saw how the BBC falsified the tractor incdent in Jerusalem to conceal the terrorist aspect & make out the the Israeli’s were the attackers, how can we trust what you say now”. Do this over & over this calls into question their integrity.

Tonto is right about the BBC’s coverage. It was a bulldozer in Israel.
However, its not true that ‘When an innocent Brazilian was shot dead in a London tube, the BBC was busy trotting out UK govt spin – we were told he was a muslim suicide bomber who vaulted barriers and ran from police.’
Actually that’s what eyewitnesses at the scene said. It says something about the reliability of eyewitness accounts.
Bear suggests banning the BBC from Israel, that would mean Israel would join Zimbabwe, North Korea and Burma, and Chinese controlled Tibet.
The bias you see is in your own mind, it’s due to your own bias. Can anyone who saw or heard the BBC’s coverage honestly not know the facts, not know the reality of what happened. How many people read only the headline of the online report and thought it was an ordinary Israel commandearing a bulldozer?

I can see where the BBC would initially report on the story without knowing all the facts yet. No one knew right away whether the driver was Palestinian or some drunk tourist. But yes, I would agree that the BBC certainly has an anti-Israel/anti-Jewish bias. I’ve seen it in their coverage of previous incidents. It only reflects the growing anti-Semitism in the UK.

I’ve just seen the BBC’s response. Who is being dishonest now?
Honest Reporting is not interested in impartial news. You are a lobby group, trying to bully independent news providers into promoting your cause. That’s not what they are there to do.
Thankfully we still have a free media in the UK. Before you jump on whatever trumped on nonsense Honest Reporting is promoting today, why don’t you try and look at it objectively yourself and make up your own mind Don’t be led by someone else’s agenda.

It is correct the BBC was wrong just to say that the arab bulldozer had killed few israelies. I think it should have said that the Islamic torrerist had attack innocent Israelis, it would have been adquate.
