Caught on Camera: “Stoning” Attack on Israeli Car
February 23, 2012 15:00 by Simon PloskerHow often are Palestinian stone throwing attacks presented by the media as a minor nuisance or a merely symbolic form of resistance against well-armed Israelis?
Related content: MSM, Stone Throwers Collude and Collide in Silwan
The reality is that such attacks can seriously injure or kill as was the case in September 2011 when Asher Palmer and his infant son Yehonatan were killed when their car crashed as a result of a stoning attack.
As YNet News reports, Israeli teacher Zehava Weiss is extremely lucky to have escaped unharmed in another such attack this week:
Luckily, Weiss said, her car is armored, but even so “the windshield was shattered and the exterior was dented in several places. They were throwing bricks, not stones.”
The moment of the attack was caught by both AFP and AP photographers.
These images beg the question about the role of those photographers in this incident. We’ve seen many times how incidents such as this only occur if Palestinian youths have an audience. Clearly the presence of the media influences the situation. There have even been suggestions of active collusion with the stone throwers in order to create the perfect image for the watching media.

Steve Mann. You could refute the content of what I wrote. Instead you call me “anti Israeli/ anti Semitic” and make a silly comment about the way my name is spelt. I said everything I had to say and will kindly reply to you if you can add to the subject of this video.

Typical – “You People” your words- I missed “Some of my best friends….”
That is as good as sticking your right hand in the air!
And what was there to comment on your post-
You just made assumptions- Go back and read it– You accused it of being staged- but you never explained how . You accused every one of telling lies- but gave no evidence-
So what did you expect for a comment- other than you are an anti-Semite and anti-Israeli-
And what ever proof you would be shewn you will not believe it-!

The truth is disturbing. This is the real Israhell www youtube com / watch?v=Yt3d3Fmouh4. Please note that this is disturbing. Unfortunately our reality today, when you look under the Jew media lies, is disturbing. If you want to call me an anti-semite, that is OK. I understand this arrogant and ignorant trick.

Matthew- for thats how you spell it- which makes me think you are an Islamist to much of a coward to say otherwise. I am answering your post which is yet to show it self-
The same as Nick- you are what I say you are- for thats the way you express yourself- And the vile anti Israeli, Semitic web sites you quote.
We have already exposed the lies of the al-Dura case, the case of the girl injured during a car accident in Gaza-then blamed on the Israelis as from a tank shell.
We have seen supposedly dead bodies on stretchers carried by Red Crescent -It falls off and gets up unaided . We have exposed the lie of Jenin- Ereket “A 1000 dead- just 53- 37 carrying arms.
Your bias is foundless.

The domain name “Honest Reporting” is very attractive to people who don’t have the time to search for the truth (i.e. most of us), yet, they want to learn something about what’s happening in the rest of the world so they don’t look totally ignorant should the subject be brought.
I agree with Mathew, this looks staged, but let’s assume for the sake of “Honest Reporting” it’s not. Therefore, I ask whoever reads this, before you dislike my post (if it went through anyway), do your homework and search for counter stories. Just like in court, any trial, to be just, should have defence and prosecution. Find the Rachel Corrie story or read articles by Dr. Norman Finkelstein; search for photos of Israeli children signing missiles (and learning to hate) before bombing Beirut and south Lebanon, or read about what the IDF and IAF did in Gaza between 2008 and 2009… Maybe you can go a bit earlier in history, and look up the 1982 massacre of Sabra and Shatila… Perhaps these stories and many others will help you understand why these brats are busy throwing stones at Israeli cars instead of playing soccer or video games.
But again, you’re too busy for the truth; after all, it’s not your war! Or is it?
Hot debate. What do you think?

First Nick- You are allowed to say all those things on this site- I post my points of view on sites such as Press TV- been blocked- Finklestien hardtalk interview U Tube -been blocked-
BBC message board- been blocked- Guardian comments page -been blocked- I never use profanities- I quote my sources. So I wonder how that is.
There is now fotage of the Rachel Correi incident that that show footage that the driver of the dozer could not have seen her- and when you put yourself in that situation there is always a risk. And Finklestien, well I am sorry this it what the N.Y.Times said of him. “The New York Times review of his book- described its premise as “ A novel variation of the Elders of Zion.” They concluded by accusing Finkelstein of being Juvenile stupid and arrogant. (Their issue Aug 6th 2000)”
And ref:”http://honestreporting.com/finkelstein-on-bds-a-cult-of-dishonesty/”
As for children learning to hate I recommend you find the books inside the P.A and Gaza schools relating to Jews and the maps showing the “Non-existence” of Israel.
It is you now sir, who fails to check the other side.
Sabre and Shatila- Well yes maybe Israel might have been able to prevent it- that is open for discussion-
However you fail to mention that it was carried out by the Lebanese Christians- and they did so in revenge for the massacres that Araft`s men carried out against them whilst running riot in Beirut. And as I am sure you are well aware- as you appear to be a person of learning- In this part of the world- Honour and feuding, combined with killing are the norm.
Example- how the Hamas killed their Fatach opponents after the won the Gaza elections.

Oh ok, I guess I need to get my facts right, so, Rachel Corrie was an accident, children drawing on missiles was art, Sabra and Shatila were carried out solely by Lebanese militias and the camps were not surrounded by the IDF to make sure no one escapes the massacre… Alright, how about the Gaza flotilla raid in 2010, and what does it say about the Israeli respect for human rights? How come the survivors of the holocausts, only few years after, commit such heinous crimes (or should I call them ethnic cleansings) as the ones they did in “Dair Yaseen” and other Palestinian villages in 1948?
I don’t like it when I see kids playing with Nerf guns and water guns because I feel they could lead to violence… so, what kind of parents sends their kids in a field trip where they can write letters on bombshells before sending them off to kill somebody?
So much for our only democratic ally and the keeper of peace in the Middle East, eh?
Hot debate. What do you think?

No you need to be fair with your words- Corrie was a member of an organisation that wanted to se the END of Israel- she was an activist and put her life on the line by putting herself in harms way.
Read the Palmer report on the flotilla- Israel was within her rights to board- 5 other ships allowed the IDF to board and search not one person was injured- how come the lead vessel refused and as film shows they attacked the boarders with weapons-
Dar Jasine.
Here I quote-
What Hazem Nusseibeh (A PALESTINIAN ARAB) told the BBC
about Deir Yassin
The video focuses on an interview with Hazem Nusseibeh, a member of one of Jerusalem’s most prominent Arab families. In 1948 he was an editor of the Palestine Broadcasting Service’s Arabic news.
In this interview with the BBC he admits that in 1948 he was instructed by Hussein Khalidi, a prominent Palestinian Arab leader, to fabricate claims of atrocities at Deir Yassin in order to encourage Arab regimes to invade the expected Jewish state. He made this damming admission in explaining why the Arabs failed in the 1948 war. He said “this was our biggest mistake”, because Palestinians fled in terror and left the country in huge numbers after hearing the atrocity claims.
Nusseibeh describes an encounter at the Jaffa Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City with Deir Yassin survivors and Palestinian leaders, including Hussein Khalidi… ‘I asked Dr. Khalidi how we should cover the story,’. He said, “We must make the most of this. So we wrote a press release stating that at Deir Yassin children were murdered, pregnant women were raped, all sorts of atrocities”
In the video clip Abu Mahmud, who was a Dir Yassin resident in 1948, told the BBC that the villagers protested against the atrocity claims: We said, “There was no rape. But Khalidi said, We have to say this, so the Arab armies will come to liberate Palestine from the Jews.”
This false press statement was released to New York Times correspondent, Dana Schmidt leading to an article in the New York Times on April 12, 1948, claiming that a massacre took place at Deir Yassin that was reprinted worldwide and cited even in Israel as proof of Israeli atrocities
Dr. Hazem Nusseibeh was a representative of Jordan at the Mixed Armistice Commission and he was Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was also the Permanent Ambassador of Jordan to the UN and has authored several books, including The Ideas of Arab Nationalism, Palestine and the United Nations and A History of Modern Jordan.

As for H.Rights- And again I quote others-
Israel continues to help Palestinians despite politics
Despite political tensions that at times threaten to boil over, cooperation between Israel and the Palestinians in the field of medicine continues to advance. Nearly 115,000 Palestinian patients were treated at Israeli hospitals in 2011, and over 100 Palestinian doctors interned at Israeli hospitals. “Every year more patients are sent to Israeli hospitals,” said Civil Administration Health Coordinator, Mrs. Dalia Bassa.
“We hope to train Palestinian doctors and improve Palestinian medicine, strengthening cooperation. Health is a separate issue, Israeli and Palestinian doctors are friends, making medicine a bridge for peace.”
In related news, the IDF reported on Friday that during the month of December, 4,373 trucks carrying 139,678 tons of goods including food, medicine, construction material, clothing and other goods entered the Gaza Strip from Israel through the Kerem Shalom crossing.
And thats one country helping others who are openly at war with it-
Now you find something else to complain about.!
