Caught on Camera: “Stoning” Attack on Israeli Car

February 23, 2012 15:00 by

How often are Palestinian stone throwing attacks presented by the media as a minor nuisance or a merely symbolic form of resistance against well-armed Israelis?

Related content: MSM, Stone Throwers Collude and Collide in Silwan

The reality is that such attacks can seriously injure or kill as was the case in September 2011 when Asher Palmer and his infant son Yehonatan were killed when their car crashed as a result of a stoning attack.

As YNet News reports, Israeli teacher Zehava Weiss is extremely lucky to have escaped unharmed in another such attack this week:

Luckily, Weiss said, her car is armored, but even so “the windshield was shattered and the exterior was dented in several places. They were throwing bricks, not stones.”

The moment of the attack was caught by both AFP and AP photographers.

These images beg the question about the role of those photographers in this incident. We’ve seen many times how incidents such as this only occur if Palestinian youths have an audience. Clearly the presence of the media influences the situation. There have even been suggestions of active collusion with the stone throwers in order to create the perfect image for the watching media.

In that situation, if I were armed, I would defend myself in neutralizing the threat, on camera or not. the media is complicit by promoting and glorifying this. they should lose their press credentials. this is not media, this is propaganda.

I remember spain-writer and war journalist Perez Reverte, said sadly that when he was working in Africa wars, he realised that too many people, (women and children) were killed just becouse him was taking photografies. He wandered if those people were alive if he was not there.
He did not on porpouse, but too many journalist in Cisjordan sure they do on porpouse.

This is blatant. The press is behind this. They want violence, it sells. Look at the guy in the middle with a bullet proof vest on.. and “Press” describing he’s not involved.. yet he is. This was staged so you, the viewer, would get incensed at Israel for causing such an incident! Don’t even reply to this… move on!

Simple solution is to charge the ” journalist” for incitement. They are clearly on scene to provoke.

the question that needs to be asked and answered is how did the photogrphers know to be there? What news agency do they represent? and what responsibilty do they have to notify authorities to prevent a murder? The freedom of the press doesn’t mean, abet murder, but that is where the Shariah compliant AP, Reuters and other media outlets have put themselves; intentionally, “to get the news”. more than 50% of the time It’s not not news, it’s is self-incrimination.

Can you imagine if the Israelis would shoot to kill the way the so called president of syria is killing his people and newsreporters. We Jews would we be blamed and killed around the world. The thoughts of a non jew. But it is coming to a point for our survival that we might have to.

Would it be considered self defense if the driver were to intentionally aim his/her car at the stone throwers?

If enough drivers did this the brave rock tossers might think twice.

Better still, a law that made it legal to try to run down these renegades and classes to teach drivers how best to execute such a manoeuvre.

Sadly the Israeli supreme court imprisoned a policeman whom, in self defense, shot a man that had stolen a car (or his car, can’t remember which) and was driving it toward him as though to run him down. I doubt leftists on the bench consider any Israeli in danger at any time, photographic evidence or not.

1,400 years of terror against non-muslims, 100 years of terror against Jews in Israel… we have done nothing to them… ever. The time for apologizing is NOW- by THEM to the REST OF THE WORLD.

18,000 terror attacks in the name of “islam” SINCE 9/11/2001. THEY are the ones who need to apologize to the world. They are the ones who have had decades to ask for forgiveness. And yet they haven’t. Did God “forgive” the Egyptians or other attackers/haters of Jews throughout history? No– He did the only feasible solution in His all knowing eyes- vanquished them completely. And the day is coming, indeed, when the last haters will be destroyed. Remember to erase the memory of Amalek.

The photographers are as guilty of attempted murder as the stone-throwers. They are acting as a team. To set up before the crime to record it in the interest of “news” is a symptom of the moral decay of the new dark age. Another symptom is that there will be no consequence to the photographers, since the concept of “rule of law” is also threatened.

Since the identity of the attackers is known from the photos wouldn’t the authorities have enough to go on to arrest and prosecute the attackers? If the authorities, Palestinian or whoever would arrest and prosecute attackers caught on film full face the photographing of such incidents would have the reverse effect. When such things happen where I live it is considered a crime and police go to extremes to find out who did it. (An equivalent action where I live would be dropping rocks off a freeway bridge onto traffic)

If the authorities don’t make the effort then the focus should be on them.

That this was planned is pretty obvious by the fact that someone among the attackers was videotaping the incident.

I believe an investigation on the facts should be carried out. If the media representatives are colluded with the rioters that want to inflict terror on the Jewish citizens, they are accomplices on the facts and therefore should be liable to the full extent of the law. One thin g is to report incidents and another is to participate in their orchestration and then exhibit as passive participation behavior at the time of the attacks.
The ethical behavior of this photographers is deplorable and brings sham to the newspapers or other media that use their products of passive conspiracy.

I agree with everything you say, Francois, except your first sentence. It should read ” It’s about time Arabs learn to treat Jews with respect.”. In case you haven’t noticed, this is a one-sided conflict and has been for 64 years. At any time, and I mean ANY TIME, had Israel so desired, they could have used overwhelming force and ended this in. The fact that they did NOT speaks to their sense of mercy, justice and love for their fellow man. I am flabberghasted and continuously in awe of the restraint exemplified by the IDF, especially in putting their own soldiers in harms way to protect civilians on BOTH sides.
But the day is coming, when, according to the prophet Zephaniah, in verse 3:20 the Almighty says about Israel:
“At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you
a name and a Praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before
      your eyes, saith the Lord.”
God is about to reward His Chosen people..make sure that you are on the right side of this conflict, God’s side through His Son, Jeshua !!!!!

How do you live in peace with this-

Here I quote from The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement. (HAMAS)

“Our struggle against the Jews is very great and very serious. It needs all sincere efforts,
. The Islamic Resistance movement is but one squadron that should be supported… until the enemy is vanquished and Allah victory is realized. It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine…….”

“The prophet…. has said “The day of judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews, killing the Jews, when the Jews will hide behind the stones and the trees. The stones and the trees will say “there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him”…
There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavours. Palestine is an Islamic land”…..

      Note the last para`
And they are not just words- They act upon them.

These brick throwers should be arrested. The photographer should be arrested. They should be made to pay compensation to the woman driver for emotional upset, physical damage [G-D forbid] plus damage to the car and then be sentenced to at least ten years hard labor. Two people, a father and son, were killed by stone throwers recently.

What I don’t understand is the passive and timid attitude of the Israeli government. In general terms, in order to combat the viciously one-sided reporting (and tactics) of the left-wing media, all foreign reporters who want to be accredited (and remain so), should be obliged to attend a regular government briefing session, or else their accreditation would be withdrawn and they can go and report from Damascus.

It is true, Steve Mann, that they consider Palestine to be their country. But the historic truth is more complex : Tribes were living there, the Jews chased them out because G-d ordered them to do so, and it was only after the Romans chased the Jews out of Yehuda and Shomron that the Palestinians settled there. My conclusion : Both Jews and Palestinians are on historic grounds entitled to live in that land, but according to the Divine Decree of G-d, the Jewish people must rule over it, while Palestinians have only the liberty to reside there. Nothing will ever chance that.
It is a pity that the Qur’ân teaches so much hatred against Jews and Christians, that it shows so little compassion and so much indifference concerning the human problems, that it causes such deep rifts between men and women. Maybe the messenger of the Qur’ân, the Angel Jibril, was in reality the disguised Angel Satan.

On one of my trips to Israel I was walking through the streets of the Old City, when
arab youths threw a hand full of small rocks down on me….fortunately the rocks were just very small but the message was the same. I am an Australian doing everything to support this land which they also live in but they simply do not want to live side by side with the jews as Steve made reference to.
