Does the Shin Bet need to take security precautions for the prime minister at media functions, like last yesterday's press conference?
Unfortunately, yes.
Was the prime minister's message — primarily about the need for tougher international sanctions against Iran — important?
Absolutely.
But let's get real.
With all due respect to the Prime Minister's office, I wouldn't let anybody's security detail "touch my junk" for the privilege of covering a press conference.
Longtime readers know I have plenty of gripes with Al-Jazeera and the Foreign Press Association.
Not today, however.
Najwan Simri Diab, an Israeli citizen and a veteran journalist with Government Press Office credentials opted to walk away rather than remove her bra for a female security guard. Good for her.
I'm with Diab.
