Israel Terror Attack: CNN Breaking News = Broken News
August 18, 2011 15:09 by Simon PloskerIn the immediate aftermath of a multiple terror attack north of Israel’s southernmost city of Eilat, the full details of the horror have yet to be fully processed. As breaking news happens, it can be illuminating watching how the story develops on major media outlets.
Take CNN, which one HonestReporting staff member was monitoring for the latest information on his mobile device:
Note the final paragraph and the use of the word “terrorists” in quotation marks.
But look what an updated story includes in the caption below the video image:
Is that an unequivocal use of the “T”-word by CNN or did someone at the editorial desk have an accidental moment of clarity?

You only need to look at most of the ads on CNN International to find out why all this bias against Israel. Most of the ads are from companies from Arab/Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Malaysia. Of course they don’t want to loose their sponsors by being at least balanced towards Israel.
A few years ago, after the Al-Qaeda terror attacks to the London Underground and buses, it was commented that the BBC had finally discovered the words “Terrorism”, “terror” and “terrorist”.

For some time today the attack was mentioned on the BBC website. Then it disappeared. Now you actually have to look for it among the ‘World News’ programmes. When it was first mentioned the headline was completely misleading, giving quite the reversion impression. It wasn’t even on the tv news at 5pm. However, once Israel retaliates and several ‘assailants’ are killed, then all hell will break loose. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Sometimes we can’t imagine that sports are so funny but we really enjoyed when we look at funny sports pictures, moments and videos. That is why we have dedicated this page to help you renew your spirit and perhaps have a few laughs too. Music: My – Space is indeed the friend of music, but it has close ties with the independent artists, who make up for what they lack in record contracts and money by being My – Space-strong, building a strong fan base and creating loyal street teams, which then take on a lot of the advertising on the band’s behalf.
