Westernwall The PA "study" denying Jewish ties to the Western Wall is back online — on the website of the authority's official Wafa News agency. The Jerusalem Post's Khaled Abu Toameh explains:

By publishing the document on Wafa’s website, the official mouthpiece of the PLO and the PA, the authority has sent a message that its has officially endorsed its findings.

It was only a few days that the study was removed from the web site of the PA's Ministry of Information, following US condemnation.

The paper, prepared by Al-Mutawakel Taha, a senior Information Ministry official claims, among other things:

  • The Western Wall, constitutes Waqf property owned by an Algerian- Moroccan Muslim family.
  • There isn’t one stone in the wall that belongs to the era of King Solomon.
  • Jews never used the site for worship until the Balfour Declaration of 1917.
