Students defending Israel on university and college campuses face many difficulties. Indeed, many Jewish students have disengaged from identifying with Israel altogether, making it particularly challenging to reach and enthuse the next generation with a positive view of Israel.
That’s why HonestReporting has partnered with Joe’s Israel, a brand new internet campaign that gives young people a platform for building and discussing their connection with Israel. Visitors to the site can watch videos, submit their own, and comment by joining any of the discussions happening.
The site is divided into three main sections including learning more about the legal basis behind Israel’s right to the exist and a section that looks into the different ways people feel connected to Israel, and why they have that connection in the first place.
HonestReporting will be contributing to the third section – The Rant – dealing with how Israel is presented in the media.
