His name is Avera Mengistu… and he’s a prisoner in Gaza

September marked the five year anniversary of the captivity of Avera Mengistu, who is being held hostage by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Avera’s tragic story has been treated with silence from the international press. We will not let his story go untold.

How can you help? You can contact Peter Maurer (@PMaurerICRC), the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross and The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (@UNOCHA) on twitter to advocate on Avera’s behalf and demand that Hamas frees Avera.
