Israeli authorities demolished a Bedouin mosque near Beersheva. Yet CNN illustrates its story with this AFP/Getty Images photo — from Gaza?
Rubble must be more gripping when it’s from Gaza.
According to Haaretz, the mosque was built without any permits, and was funded by The Islamic Movement‘s Northern Branch, which is headed by Sheikh Raed Salah.
As for Rahat, it’s located well enough within Israel that a Qassam rocket nearly wiped out a tent full of women and children outside the Bedouin village during Operation Cast Lead.
