despite Blair’s straight talk, the terrorists have already won. Their goal is to sow fear and despair, and to kill and maim. This they achieved today. There are families in London and elsewhere whose lives were turned upside down this morning, even if they themselves still don’t know this yet. From personal experience, we know they have the most difficult and painful of roads ahead of them in dealing with the murder, by means of an act of hatred, of a person they love. All the tough resolve in the world is not going to bring those lives back.
