While not every error is serious enough to alter the direction of a story, it’s still imperative that the media get the facts right. So it was the case of The Guardian‘s coverage of a brutal attack on Argentina’s chief rabbi.
We contacted Guardian editors when we noticed that the article erroneously claimed the Argentine Jewish community to be the largest outside of Israel and the US. A short time later, a correction was issued.
