HR Prompts AP to Correct Western Wall Error

While the error shouldn’t have happened in the first place, credit to the Associated Press for making a prompt and public correction after HonestReporting alerted editors to this in the story “4 Palestinians killed in latest Jerusalem fallout clashes“:

While the Western Wall is the holiest site that Jews are allowed to pray, the Temple Mount, the site of two ancient Jewish temples is, in fact, Judaism’s holiest site.

Shortly after our complaint, the following has been added to the AP story:

A correction from the AP is all the more important as the wire service supplies countless other media around the world. So, for example, this correction appears in media including the Washington Post, ABC News, US News & World Report and USA Today.
