US broadcaster Glenn Beck could certainly be described as a polarizing figure and many Israelis have not welcomed his high-profile visit to Jerusalem for his “Restoring Courage” rally.
But check out the byline on this article in The Independent:
Perhaps many Israelis are horrified by Beck’s outspoken views on many things. But to imply that it is “Zionist views” that have irked so many is deceptively misleading. By definition, most Israelis, by virtue of their support for Jewish self-determination in their own state, are Zionists.
To portray the entire Zionist ideology as Glenn Beck’s particular brand of politics and religious beliefs is simply inaccurate.
