The NGO HonestReporting (Divuach Ne’eman in Hebrew), which works to ensure accurate coverage of Israel in the international media, is initiating a campaign with the slogan #IsraeliWednesday. As part of the campaign, which will be appearing on various social networking platforms, the NGO is calling upon the Israeli public to take part in helping influence global perceptions of Israel.
Images and messages will be uploaded to HonestReporting’s website every Wednesday, which will facilitate more fair and balanced news coverage of Israel around the world. Individuals can select content and then upload it to their Instagram story, to Facebook, or share on Twitter.
This way, people will be taking part in the international discourse — by writing comments in response to articles published about Israel.”
