HonestReporting CEO Joe Hyams appeared at an event sponsored by the Iranian American Jewish Federation this week, speaking about the vital importance of media issues in the battle for Israel’s legitimacy.
Joe reminded the audience that while the IDF has successfully deployed the Iron Dome Missile Defense system against threats of rocket fire against Israel, there is no Iron Dome for attacks on the media battlefield.
“Each of us has to get educated and involved,” he told the audience. “The best way we can support our soldiers on the battlefield is by investing in our own defensive measures for public opinion.”
Zohreh Mizrahi arranged the event and said she was thrilled by the outcome. “The event was very successful, as many active members of the community were there to see for themselves,” she said. “We just need to clone Joe to keep the momentum on,” she added.
