The UNRWA announced the amount of money pledged by donor governments towards its 2008 budget, and the lack of Arab largesse is appalling.
While the US chipped in for $90 million, the combined contributions from the governments of Turkey, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt and the UAE totalled $3,085,000 — which is about 12 percent of the average yearly salary of the contract Alex Rodriguez recently voided.
