Toronto Star columnist Haroon Siddiqui equates Hamas and Kadima:
Israel and the U.S. had stopped dealing with Yasser Arafat because he lacked democratic legitimacy but they, and Canada, won’t talk to Hamas, which has a bigger mandate from its electorate than does Kadima from the Israeli voters and the Conservatives from Canadians.
How quickly would Siddiqui denounce Kadima if the party were to organize it’s own independent “armed wing,” abrogate previous agreements and call for the destruction of Palestinians?
